Structured Literacy

Orton-Gillingham based Instruction

Scholar Stride delivers individualized, specialized reading instruction grounded in the Orton-Gillingham approach and the principles of Structured Literacy. This evidence-based framework, developed and trademarked by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), is rooted in the science of how children learn to read. Instruction is explicit, systematic, cumulative, diagnostic, and prescriptive, while integrating multisensory techniques to reinforce each concept. Structured Literacy supports all learners in developing strong reading skills and is particularly effective for students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences.
